Identity verification is a required step for all creators on Vaultiyo before they can receive payouts, access the full creator toolkit, and earn the Verified Direct badge on their profile. The process is straightforward and typically takes less than 10 minutes to complete. Verification reviews are completed within 24 hours of submission in most cases.
This guide walks you through exactly what is needed, why the process exists, and what happens after you submit your documents. If you have already started your creator account setup and are on Step 2 of the onboarding flow, this article answers any questions you might have before completing your submission.
Why Identity Verification Is Required
Creator identity verification serves two distinct purposes. The first is regulatory compliance. Platforms that process payments on behalf of individuals are required by financial regulations to verify the identity of the people receiving those payments. This is the same process you would complete if you opened a bank account or signed up for a payment service like PayPal or Stripe directly. It is not unique to Vaultiyo.
The second purpose is protecting the creator community. Verification ensures that all creators on the platform are genuine individuals who have accepted responsibility for the content they post. It prevents anonymous account creation that could be used to defraud subscribers or post content without accountability. A verified creator community is a more trustworthy community for subscribers, and subscriber trust directly impacts creator earnings.
Once you are verified, your profile can display the Verified Direct badge. Subscribers see this badge as a signal that you are a real, accountable person and that any direct messages they receive from you are genuinely from you. The badge improves conversion rates and subscriber trust.

Once approved, your account is fully unlocked. Payout setup, Verified Direct badge, and all creator tools become available immediately.
Common Reasons for Verification Rejection
If your submission is rejected, you will receive a specific reason and instructions for resubmitting. The most common reasons for rejection are:
- Blurry or unclear document photos. The document text, photo, and all details must be fully legible. Take photos in good lighting on a flat surface. Avoid photographing documents at an angle.
- Expired ID document. Your document must be currently valid on the date of submission. Expired documents are not accepted.
- Name mismatch. The name on your ID document must match the name on your Vaultiyo account. If you use a different name on the platform, ensure your legal name is entered correctly in your account settings before submitting.
- Selfie does not clearly match the ID photo. The review team must be able to confirm the selfie and the ID show the same person. Ensure both are current and unobscured.
- Document edges cut off. The full document must be visible in the photo with all four corners present. Cropped documents cannot be verified.
Your identity documents are stored securely and used only for verification purposes. They are never shown to subscribers or displayed publicly. Vaultiyo complies with GDPR and data protection law on the handling of all personal identification documents. Your verification data can be deleted from your account settings at any time after your account has been verified, subject to legal retention requirements.
What Verification Unlocks
Completing identity verification unlocks the following features on your Vaultiyo creator account:
- Daily payout setup and first payout eligibility
- The Verified Direct badge on your public profile
- Full access to the creator dashboard including analytics, subscriber management, and content tools
- The ability to set up content protection features including DMCA tools and automated watermarking
- Agency registration eligibility if you work with or manage a creator agency
Creators who complete verification before promoting their profile consistently see better conversion rates. Subscribers are more likely to pay for content from a creator they can see is verified than from an unverified account. The Verified Direct badge, which is awarded upon successful verification, is one of the most visible trust signals on the Vaultiyo platform.
Verification for Under 18 Accounts
Vaultiyo requires all creators to be 18 years of age or older. This is a firm requirement with no exceptions. Date of birth is collected at account creation and cross-checked during the identity verification process. Any account found to belong to a person under 18 is immediately closed and all associated content removed.
This policy exists to protect young people and is also a legal requirement under the regulations governing creator monetisation platforms in the UK and EU. There is no pathway to creator monetisation on Vaultiyo for anyone under 18.
